Experienced Maintenance Technician Wanted: Keep our Operations Running Smoothly!
The Advance Group has partnered with a Toledo automotive assembly plant with a need for a Machine and Building Maintenance Technician on 2nd shift. Qualified candidates should have experience with PLC Troubleshooting and General Equipment Maintenance experience.
Compensation for the Maintenance Technician position:
- $27-$34/hr depending on experience
Hours for the Maintenance Technician position:
- Second Shift is Monday- Saturday 5pm-until finished, likely 9-10 hour days but could be up to 12hrs if needed
- May be required to work overtime in emergency situations
- Must be available to work up to 7 days a week on occasion
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician position:
- Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment
- Perform and follow regular, preventative, and predictive maintenance on equipment
- Light fabrication of items for the production floor (holding fixtures, brackets, and material handling items)
- Repair work including basic painting, simple carpentry, routine plumbing repairs, and routine or special facility maintenance functions
- Receive work orders and schedule own assignments
- Follow standard safety procedures, correct safety and environmental hazards and report them to the appropriate supervisor immediately
- Troubleshooting and repairs of PLC controls and communication systems
- Troubleshooting and repairs of DC Torque Control Systems
- Interface with Production IT department to ensure smooth system performance and enhancements
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot secondary high and low voltage electrical systems
Qualifications of the Maintenance Technician position:
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and/or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Knowledge of general building maintenance and repair
- Sufficient mechanical knowledge and experience to identify and correct mechanical malfunctions
- Proficient in electrical repair and machinery installation
- Proficient with High Voltage Electrical Safety and associated Arc Flash requirements
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and plumbing
- Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, lifting and moving 50lbs regularly
- Complete understanding of Plant electrical systems, including DC Voltage and AC Voltage 24 V to 280 V
- Proficient in electrical installations with conduit and wiring practices
- Ability to troubleshoot PLC Controls using the following software; RS Loqix 500 & RS Loqix 5000, RS view & RS Panelbuilder
- Knowledge of Vision Systems and troubleshooting methods
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
- Experience with Robotics is a plus
